March Networking Lunch

Interested in knowing what it takes to build a champion? Join us for the next PRSA Salt Lake networking luncheon at Rio Tinto Stadium — home of Real Salt Lake, 2009 MLS Cup champions. Trey Fitz-Gerald, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications for Real Salt Lake will share how the organization has overcome some significant challenges over the past five years associated with establishing a fan base, building a stadium, and putting a competitive team on the field.

All chapter members who have joined within the last year are invited to come to a free breakfast at Little America. Members of the PRSA Greater Salt Lake board will be there to discuss the value of national and chapter membership, available resources, upcoming programs and more. Free Teleseminar - Writing for Social Media - Thursday, Mar. 25 at 1 p.m.
Writing for Social Media:
How to write blog posts, posting, tweets and other status updates. We’ll meet at the University of Phoenix, 5373 S. Green Street, Salt Lake City. The presenter is Ann Wylie. This teleseminar is a $150 value that the PRSA Salt Lake chapter is offering for free to members and for only $5 for Friends of PRSA.

 

Utah State University PR Conference March 25-26

This conference is held for the purpose of showing both students and professionals how to create a winning self, organization, and business. Following this year's theme, "putting the PR in professional," the conference will hit different aspects of public relations (event planning, non-profit organizations, athletics, relations to the media, PR agency) and how to use PR effectively. Students, professionals and the general public from throughout the western U.S. will walk away from the conference feeling like their time was well spent and they have the PR tools and principles that will help put the PR in professional.
