A Golden Spike Workshop will be held on Thursday, August 5 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Children’s Miracle Network at 205 West 700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah (call 801-214-7400 if you get lost).
 
This workshop is perfect for first-timers who are thinking of entering the annual awards competition but are curious or unaware about what to include. It is also a great refresher and opportunity to collaborate for seasoned experts. The first 45 minutes will be a case study review of a few winning entries. Experts will share what made these entries great and areas of focus. The second 45 minutes will be a breakout (non-profit and corporate) where people can speak to experts in their similar situation, ask questions and learn from their experiences on what works and what doesn’t. Experts will also review the new entry guidelines and help attendees with questions figure out in which category their entry belongs.
 
No preparation is necessary. Just come with all the questions you ever had about the Golden Spike Awards.  The event is free. Just bring your own lunch. Remember, the entry deadlines for the Golden Spike Awards are nearing. Early deadlines are August 27 for early entries and September 3 for late entries.
